During the month of May, join BOUNCE 100.9 as we support Tampon Tuesday! Any day of the week, bring a donation of tampons or pads to The Hub and we will make certain to get them in the right hands!! Toiletries for Care Packages are welcome as well! -

29th Annual Fishing Derby at Isaac's Lake Westchester
On Saturday, June 3 from 7AM-6PM. No fishing license required. Registration - $10.00 Adult $5.00 Child (12 and under). Lots of prizes to be won. Open to all ages. Boats welcome. Canteen available. Truro Bicycle Rodeo
On Saturday, June 3 in the Colchester Legion Stadium Parking lot. Are you in grades P-6? Come develop your riding skills by learning new techniques, proper helmet fitting, and participating in drills and traffic simulations. There are three time slots available, pre-registration preferred. Group 1 (10:00-10:30am) Group 2 (10:30-11:00am) Group 3 (11:00-11:30am) There is even a bike parade (starting at the Stadium) where you get to ride through the streets, from 12PM-1PM! Chase the Ace at the Truro Horsemen’s Club, 288 Main Street, Truro in support of The Truro Horsemen's Club and Truro Raceway. Tickets are $5 each and available at the club and Kennedy's Variety. Draws are every Saturday's from 12PM-4PM with the draw after 4PM. -

The Carillon Singers Spring Concert: Feathers & Fellas
Feathers & Fellas: The Carillon Singers present a jazz inspired evening not to be missed! New Glasgow, Nova Scotia: Friday, June 9 at 7:30PM at Shaun’s Place, Arisaig, Nova Scotia and on Saturday, June 10 at 7:30PM at Steinhart Distillery. The Carillons Singers, an eclectic vocal ensemble of all female musicians from Pictou County. They are excited to bring the speakeasy experience to life with two nights of jazz inspired music, a cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres. To really bring the speakeasy vibe to the events, 1920s attire is encouraged. Under the direction of Vivi Chediac and pianist Karen Crowley, the Carillons will be joined by Paul Tupper & Fellas (Paul Tupper on guitar, Tanner MacDonald on bass, and Andrew Miller on drums). The Carillons Singers have connected women in music and song for 29 years in Pictou County. Rehearsing weekly, the choir aims to build friendships and foster connection through the gift of song to the community. The Carillons can be found performing annually at a variety of venues and events, in Pictou County and beyond. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased in advance only at Chediac Furniture, LBR Variety, and Curious Crow’s Coffee House, or by calling 902-771-0250. This is a 19+ event. -

Canada's Longest Running Country Music Jamboree
Canada's Longest Running Country Music Jamboree at the Nine Mile River Community Centre (7160 Highway 14, Nine Mile River) on Sunday, June 11 from 2PM-4:30PM. Host band is Highway 14 along with a variety of performers. Admission is $10, 12 years and under $5. There will be 50/50 and canteen services. Proceeds for the Fire Department. -
