Cardi B just can’t seem to quit Offset.
“I’m just a crazy b**ch,” the rap star said, in an Instagram Live, explaining why she got back together with the man from whom she filed for divorce only a few weeks ago.
“One day I’m happy, the next day I wanna beat a n***a up,” she said. “I just be starting to miss [him]… It’s hard not to talk to your best friend. It’s really hard not to talk to your best friend. And it’s really hard to have no d**k.”
Cardi filed for divorce on Sept. 14 in Fulton County, Georgia, and a hearing is scheduled for Nov. 4. But, the two were seen together this past weekend, when Offset gave Cardi a Rolls-Royce truck worth $300,000 U.S. for her birthday – complete with an $8,000 customized leather seat for their daughter Kulture.
“People been saying that I took him back like I’m materialistic,” she said. I do like material things, I like material things and everything, but I just didn’t … What do you want me to do? The n***a gave me a Rolls-Royce and I snub him?
“And I really wanted some d**k for my birthday.”
Cardi told fans she and Offset are just as dysfunctional as anyone else. “We’re just more public,” she said.
In March 2018, the “WAP” rapper defended her decision to stand by her man after revelations that Offset cheated while they were engaged. "I want to work out my s**t with my man, and I don’t got to explain why," she said.
Cardi confirmed in June 2018 that she had secretly wed Offset in Georgia nine months earlier. Then, in December 2018, she said she had split from her husband. “I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby’s father for a hot minute now,” she explained on Instagram. “We’re really good friends and we’re really good business partners … we’ve got a lot of love for each other but things just having been working out between us for a long time. And it’s nobody’s fault, I guess we just grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore.”
Cardi added: “It might take time to get a divorce.”
Offset later crashed Cardi’s set at a California music festival with a sign made of flowers that spelled out “Take Me Back.” He told his wife: “I just want to tell you I’m sorry. I love you. Whatever I’ve got to do to show you.”
In February 2019, Offset said he and Cardi B were working on their marriage and he didn’t regret going to extraordinary lengths to get her back. “You gotta fight for what you believe in and what you love,” the rapper told Billboard.
