Well, that was short-lived.
Demi Lovato and her actor-musician fiancé Max Ehrich have split, according to multiple reports on Thursday.
There was no immediate confirmation from Lovato or Ehrich but several outlets cited sources close to the couple as saying their two-month engagement is over.
Ehrich, 29, popped the question in July on a Malibu beach, after which Lovato, 28, gushed on Instagram: “I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!!!!”
He wrote: “Words cannot express how infinitely in love with you I am forever and always and then some. I cannot spend another second of my time here on Earth without the miracle of having you as my wife.”

It was to be the first marriage for Lovato, who has identified as sexually fluid.
The engagement came only months after the pair started dating and just two days shy of the second anniversary of her near-fatal drug overdose.
About two weeks ago, Lovato defended Ehrich over alleged tweets in which he expressed thoughts about Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus.
“Yes, it's easier to tear apart celebrities and their relationships because 2020 sucks and scares the s**t out of us all,” she wrote on social media, “but it's only gonna stay terrifying until we address it all and WORK ON SOLUTIONS TOGETHER."
Speculation that there was trouble in the relationship began when fans noticed Lovato's bodyguard and sister unfollowed Ehrich on Instagram.
