Following the announcement of a tour in the UK and Ireland, the recently reunited Oasis have announced they will play select shows in North America in 2025.
Not long after the band perform their first reunion shows overseas, they will arrive in North America to now perform nine dates in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Los Angeles and Mexico City.
The Toronto, ON dates mark the first concerts scheduled at the upcoming Rogers Stadium, which was announced last week. The temporary concert venue is set to open some time in June 2025, two months before the Oasis gig.
In addition to the announcement, Oasis posted a statement explaining that tickets for the North American dates will not be subject to "dynamic pricing," which created major problems for ticket buyers in the UK and Ireland last month.
The band's statement read, "It is widely accepted that dynamic pricing remains a useful tool to combat ticket touting and keep prices for a significant proportion of fans lower than the market rate and thus more affordable."
“But, when unprecedented ticket demand (where the entire tour could be sold many times over at the moment tickets go on sale) is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it becomes less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans.”
Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday, October 4, with a presale happening the day before, October 3. More information can be found here.
Cage the Elephant will open all five of the shows, which is kinda interesting, seeing as the band visited iHeartRadio recently and discussed their excitement over Oasis reuniting. They had to know, right?? Watch that clip below.
