Tracadie RCMP looking to ID hit and run driver

Northeast District RCMP are asking the public for help to ID the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run on Route 11 near Six Roads on May 29.

Officers responded around 1:30 p.m. to a report of a two vehicle collision involving a vehicle.

Police say a dark blue Honda Civic was travelling southbound in the passing lane when a light blue Chrysler Seabring also tried to merge into the passing lane and sideswiped the Honda.

The civic swerved to avoid impact, which resulted in it rolling over and coming to rest in the ditch of the median.

RCMP say two of the four people in the Honda suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

Police are looking for the driver of the Chrysler, who did not stop at the scene, and are asking anyone with information about this hit and run to contact Tracadie RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.
