Bathurst mayor calls on citizens to help local businesses weather lockdown
Bathurst's mayor is urging citizens to support local businesses as much as possible after the province announced tighter restrictions in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 and surging hospitalizations.
The restrictions, which take effect at midnight tonight, mean the closure of gyms, entertainment venues and indoor dining at restaurants.
Kim Chamberlain is encouraging residents to order take-out from restaurants, and make purchases from local businesses on-line.
Chamberlain tells the Northern Light citizens need to help as much as possible so they can remain viable once restrictions are loosened.
