The RCMP says a 47-year old Moncton man is facing charges after a break and enter at a business in the community on Sunday.

Officers responded around 7:30 a.m. to an alarm at a business on St. George Street, and determined an individual had forced their way inside and had stolen several items.

investigators say a 47-year old man was arrested without incident nearby and several items in his possession were seized, including an angle grinder that matched the description of a similar tool that had been reported stolen.

The RCMP says Matthew Alexander Buck appeared in Moncton Provincial Court by way of tele-remand on Monday and was charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

He was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Thursday.
