A long-anticipated collab for pop fans looks like it’s finally on its way! Canadian pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen was pictured in the studio last night with singer Charli XCX.
The image was posted to Instagram by producer Justin Raisen, who has previously worked with musicians Sky Ferreira and Santigold.
While no official details were released, Jepsen was also recently pictured with producer Patrik Berger, who was behind XCX’s hit “Boom Clap” and Robyn’s dancefloor filler “Dancing on My Own”.
This comes a month and change after Lorde took to social media to propose her, Jepsen and Charli XCX form “a hot girl band one day”. Could that day be coming sooner rather than later?
Charli XCX, 24, released her mixtape Number 1 Angel last Friday (Mar. 10) to much acclaim. Jepsen has been teasing her forthcoming album, speculatively titled 99 cent dreams, expected out later this year.
