Linkin Park’s “One Step Closer” performed by Adam Sandler as Happy Gilmore, The Lion King’s Simba and more than a hundred other movie characters?
It’s a reality thanks The Unusual Suspect, a YouTube movie reviewer and skilled video editor who creates epic music-movie mashups called "CinemaSings."
The Unusual Suspect – a 28-year-old Brit named Ross John Fearnley – posted a mashup Wednesday of the 2000 track off Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory album, using clips from 139 movies.
Among them are Wayne’s World, Pulp Fiction, Kindergarten Cop and Shrek. (Canadian content comes via stars like Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, Michael J. Fox, Hayden Christensen, Ryan Reynolds, Keanu Reeves and Michael Cera.) A list of all 139 movies used in the video can be found here.
Fearnley has previously done mashups for songs by The Proclaimers, Paramore, Rick Astley, Michael Jackson and others.
