Missing man from Fox River located Tuesday after 'extensive search'

A man missing from Fox River was located safe by Ground Search and Rescue Tuesday following an 'extensive search'.

Cumberland RCMP said Sunday that 74-year old Cecil Pye was last seen in Fox River around 2 p.m. Saturday.

Police say he was located Tuesday and flown to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP Air Services, Ground Search and Rescue teams from Colchester, Springhill, Pugwash and East Hants, the FPW Fire Brigade and the Department of Lands and Forestry were involved in the search.

The RCMP say Pye is the fourth missing person located in Nova Scotia this past week thanks to the assistance of the volunteer Ground Search and Rescue teams and other agencies.
