LFO singer Devin Lima has been diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer, according to his bandmate Brad Fischetti.

"Devin asked me to give you this update without him because, frankly, he’s not feeling very well,” Fischetti said in a YouTube message posted Monday. “But, he asked me to send you his love and gratitude for all the love and prayers you’ve sent his way.”

Doctors recently removed a tumor from the 40-year-old’s adrenal gland and Fischetti said it’s been “a tough recovery.”

The diagnosis of adrenal cancer means Lima will undergo chemotherapy and radiation.

“It’s devastating news but at the same time, there’s nobody I know stronger than Devin Lima. No one has a stronger body, mind or soul,” said Fischetti. “If anybody can defeat this, it’s Devin. I know with your prayers and your thoughts and your positive energy coming down his way, there’s no doubt that he will beat it.”

Group member Rich Cronin died from leukaemia in 2010.

LFO scored a major hit in 1999 with “Summer Girls” and recently released “Perfect 10.”
