They’re not gonna to take it on the road anymore.
Twisted Sister played their final live show this past weekend in Monterey, Mexico.
“Glad to cross the finish line,” singer Dee Snider tweeted before the concert. “Sad to see it end.”
Afterwards, the frontman tweeted: “You always remember your last. Gracias Monterey!”
The rock band, which had huge hits like “I Wanna Rock” and “We’re Not Gonna To Take It” in the 1980s, vowed that the 40 And F**k It Tour was their last.
The band’s final show was a 13-song set, with Mike Portnoy filling in for AJ Pero, the Twisted Sister drummer who died last year.
When a fan asked via Twitter why Twisted Sister didn’t simply reduce the number of live shows, Snider replied: “Seriously?! Easing up is for pussies! Go hard or go home! I went home.”
But Snider — who wrote Celine Dion’s “The Magic of Christmas Day (God Bless Us Everyone)" — is still gonna rock. The 61-year-old released a solo album last month and has said he will still do live shows.
