'X Factor' Releases 30 Minutes Of Unreleased One Direction Footage

Need some new One Direction content to keep you up all night? X Factor has dusted off some "new" footage of the boy band from the very beginning of their journey.

Today (August 30) the reality competition show unearthed 30 minutes of never-before-seen footage of 1D's early days on the show, when they were fighting to carry on.

A mix of unseen and extended clips shows the boys trying to woo Simon Cowell at the Judges' House with a rare clip of the fab five singing Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You." Also included is an longer clip of them singing Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn."

Video of 1D at the beach is included, showing them have fun in the sun until poor Louis gets stung by a sea urchin. Cue viz of his bandmates sweeping him off his feet and keeping him off that swollen foot.

More new footage includes an emotional and candid chat with host Dermot O'Leary after learning they were through, as well as an interview with Cowell explaining why he chose them to advance.

This new footage arrives a year after the show released "never before seen" clips that showed how the group was put together by Nicole Scherzinger.
