Coldplay have surpassed the $1 billion mark in money grossed on their Music of the Spheres World Tour.
The road warriors first began the tour two and a half years ago in March 2022, and so far have played 156 shows across four continents, Billboard reports.
Last month alone, Coldplay raked in $72.2 million and sold 575,000 tickets over their 11 shows.
The achievement finds the band surpassing both Elton John and U2 as the highest grossing and bestselling rock tour in the history of Billboard's Boxscore.
The band is scheduled to keep performing until mid-November when they wrap their performances up at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand. At that stage they will have also reached 10 million in ticket sales, leaving them second to only Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, which has yet to report figures, but is expected to sell about the same number of tickets and top the $2 billion mark.
Of course, where Coldplay trump all artists is in how they've been reducing their carbon footprint along the way. Back in June, the band announced they had exceeded their goal of reducing their direct carbon emissions (from show production, freight, band and crew travel) by 59% of their previous tour.
The band are also scheduled to release their new album, Moon Music, on October 4.
