Green Day are preparing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their landmark album, American Idiot, with an extensive catalogue of merch that includes a vinyl box set, a skate deck, socks and a coffee maker..?
Through their coffee brand Punk Bunny Coffee, the band has teamed up with Keurig to launch the "most kick ass" coffee brewer on the market.
The custom brewer comes decked out in the American Idiot black and red, featuring the lyric sheet from the album wrapped around the machine. You know, in case you a reminder of the words to part three of "Jesus of Suburbia" while you wait for your brew.
The limited edition bundle also contains a custom iced coffee tumbler, 12 Punk Bunny Soundcheck K-Cup® Pods and a curated Spotify playlist.
Green Day officially rebranded their Oakland Coffee company as Punk Bunny Coffee back in May, naming it after their famous furry mascot. In partnership with Keurig, they launched a series of new roasts that include Father of All…Dark Roasts, Soundcheck, Last Ride In and Light Club.
The band shot an informercial-style video to promote the brewer, adding that "you'd be f**king stupid not to buy one of these things." Now that is some top-notch sales work. Watch it below.
Teaming up with Keurig for a coffee collaboration is much better than say... Formula 409.
