A hotel in Australia has apologized to Post Malone after he was denied entry to its rooftop bar.
The 27-year-old, who is currently on tour with Red Hot Chili Peppers, told The West Australian he was turned away on Saturday because of his tattoos. “I’ve never really experienced anything like that,” he said.
On its website, the QT Perth rooftop bar welcomes “one and all” but advises that “a strict dress code is applicable” after 5 p.m. It prohibits “face, neck, and offensive tattoos.”
In response to Malone being turned away, the QT Perth issued a statement. “We aim to welcome everyone and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual,” it read. “QT has been recognized for this for many years. However, on Saturday night, our third-party security did not exercise the appropriate discretion and we take full responsibility for this. We sincerely apologize to the individuals affected.”
According to reports, Malone managed to get access to the rooftop bar at another hotel.
