When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. And when Jelly Roll wants to buy some of your lemonade, expect a big tip!
One family in Salt Lake City, Utah learned this over the weekend when three cousins set up a lemonade stand in their neighbourhood, looking to make a few bucks. Luckily for them, country-rock star Jelly Roll just happened to be walking by.
In town to prepare for the launch of his Beautifully Broken Tour, Jelly Roll saw the kids were selling some refreshing juice and decided to make a donation towards their cause. Little did they know he would drop $700 into their box.
Wendy Gardunio, the mother of one of the kids, posted about the kind gesture on her Facebook page.
"So today was an interesting day, my kid and her cousins wanted to do a lemonade stand," she wrote. "And they had a famous singer come and buy some lemonade. Who would have thought that we would run into jelly roll in west valley. And for him to be so generous with giving them almost $700."
Gardunio included some pics of Jelly Roll with the kids as well as photographic evidence of his charitable handout.
