Mötley Crüe has released their version of Madonna’s 1984 hit “Like a Virgin.”

The unlikely cover was recorded for the soundtrack of The Dirt, a Mötley Crüe biopic debuting on Netflix on March 22.

Nikki Sixx gets the blame credit for pitching the idea to his bandmates.

“I went over to Tommy [Lee]’s house, and  [Canadian producer] Bob Rock was over there,” Sixx told Rolling Stone. “I started playing it and all of a sudden, you just saw Tommy’s face light up.”

Lee called the Crüe’s take on the pop hit “f**king genius.” He said: “When it drops down into half-time, it gets so heavy.”

It's one of four new songs the band recorded for the movie. They released “The Dirt (Est. 1981)” last month.
