Snoop Dogg has finally met his self-proclaimed #1 fan: a 91-year-old from Saskatoon, SK.
Phyllis Austman was escorted to the rapper's show at SaskTel Centre on Wednesday night (June 19) and introduced to Snoop Dogg after local radio station C95 learned she was a great admirer through her niece, Stephanie.
"I just love him," Austman told hosts, Rob Suski and Shauna Foster. "He seems like such a nice fellow, sort of laid back and just a friendly person. I know he's a married man and he has a good family, living, according to Martha Stewart. I guess I'm a fan!"
The station arranged for Austman to attend the show and have a private meet-and-greet with Snoop himself. Wearing a custom tee and holding a sign that read "Great Aunt Phyzzle - 91 Years Young, Snoop's #1 Fan."
Of course, always one for the ladies, Snoop didn't disappoint, giving Austman a hug and posing for some photos before taking the stage.
Snoop is currently wrapping up his Cali To Canada tour with two more dates left: Calgary (June 21) and Vancouver (June 25). And then he's off to Paris to cover the Olympics as a correspondent for NBC.
