Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder joined Roger Waters for the Pink Floyd classic "Comfortably Numb" during night two of Waters' three-night stand at Chicago's United Center.
In fan-shot video from the surprise collaboration, we see Waters sing the first half of the first verse on a darkened stage. Look closely and you can see Vedder pass behind Waters in the darkness on the way to the mic.
The stage lights up as Vedder begins to sing and it takes a few beats for the crowd to realize who the guest is before releasing a roar of applause for the Evanston, Illinois, native.
Waters delivers his parts perfectly, sounding just like he did on the 1979 album. Vedder, meanwhile, gives a positively goose bump-inducing rendition of David Gilmour's lead vocal.
"Comfortably Numb" has often made its way into Pearl Jam's live sets.
Waters is in the middle of his North American Us + Them Tour, which hits Canadian cities from Oct. 2 to 29.
